SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
________________________________________________________________________________________
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Not available.
Potential Health Effects
Eye:
Causes eye
irritation. Exposure to particulates or solution may
cause conjunctivitis,
ulceration, and corneal abnormalities.
Skin:
Causes irritation with
burning pain, itching, and redness.
Ingestion:
May cause
gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and
diarrhea. May cause
liver damage.
Inhalation:
Causes respiratory tract
irritation. May cause ulceration and
perforation of the nasal
septum if inhaled in excessive quantities.
Chronic:
May cause reproductive
and fetal effects. Individuals with Wilson's
disease are unable to
metabolize copper. Thus, copper accumulates
in various tissues and
may result in liver, kidney, and brain damage.

Immediately flush eyes
with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the
upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.

Flush skin with plenty
of soap and water for at least 15 minutes
while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if
irritation develops or
persists.
Ingestion:
Call a poison control
center. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting
unless directed to do so
by medical personnel. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious
person. Get medical aid.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure to
fresh air immediately. If not breathing,
give artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Get medical aid.

MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear.
Substance is noncombustible.
Extinguishing Media:
For small fires, use dry
chemical, carbon dioxide, water spray or
alcohol-resistant foam.
________________________________________________________________________________________
SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
________________________________________________________________________________________
General Information: Use proper personal protective
equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Absorb spill with inert
material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth),
then place in suitable
container.
________________________________________________________________________________________
SECTION 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE
________________________________________________________________________________________
Handling:
Use with adequate
ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and

local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne
concentrations below the
permissible exposure limits.
Personal Protective Equipment
Eyes:
Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical
safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face
protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European
Standard EN166.
